Most Anticipated Indie Game of 2014?

Moving on from my last post, I would like to talk more about indie games as sometimes they don't really get enough credit. Many indie games are of high quality with rich gameplay.

With such a small price and in some cases free of charge, they are definitely worth a try with a lot of enjoyable and heart stopping moments.

We have already seen many indie games come out for next gen in their launch windows such as:

● Resogun
● Contrast
● War Thunder
● Don't Starve

So, what is my most anticipated indie game for 2014?

Outlast is a survival horror video game developed and published by Red Barrels Games, a company founded by people previously involved with video games such as Prince of PersiaAssassin's CreedSplinter Cell and Uncharted. It was released on September 4, 2013 for Microsoft Windows and scheduled for a PlayStation 4 release on February 5, 2014 (we're so close now)
Outlast is a first-person survival horror game set in an asylum. The main character, Miles Upshur, is incapable of combat, except for certain scripted sequences in which he pushes enemies away. To navigate the environment, the character is able to climb to ledges, vault over low obstacles, crawl, and slide in narrow gaps. Except for vaulting, enemies are incapable of any of these manoeuvres, which gives the player a certain edge. In addition, the player can survive encounters with the inmates by hiding inside of lockers or under beds, although certain enemies may search the room and attempt to locate the player for a short time before moving on.
Since much of the asylum is dark, the player must use Miles' video camera to see, thanks to its night vision function. Using night vision consumes batteries, replacements of which are scattered throughout the environment.

I first became known of this game when watching my most favourite youtuber "TheRadBrad"  and thought that this game was one of a kind. I love playing and watching horror survival games and movies and this got me hooked straight away! I can't wait to play it for myself on my PlayStation 4 and it's just around the corner now!

Look Scary? Wait until you try it!

What's your favourite indie game out now? & Which are you looking forward to most?
